Donor Highlight: State Farm
Education Forward Arizona is proud to partner with State Farm, which celebrates a milestone anniversary this year. For 100 years, State Farm has supported safety, education, economic empowerment and community development programs across the country.
Last October, State Farm announced a $20,000 grant to support Ask Benji, Education Forward Arizona’s Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered chatbot that supports high school seniors’ path to postsecondary education by assisting them in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Thanks to the generous backing of State Farm and the Arizona Department of Education, the Ask Benji program supports 113 high schools and has reached more than 24,000 students statewide this academic year.
Our partnership with State Farm goes beyond support of Ask Benji. State Farm employee, Jake Williams, benefitted from our Success Services program as a former Education Forward Scholar. With encouragement from his Success Adviser to look for internships during his freshman year, Jake successfully secured an internship with State Farm. Today, he gives back both through his time and financial resources.
Another State Farm employee, Danielle Trubac, began volunteering in January 2021, sharing employment and internship opportunities with Education Forward Scholars at our annual Leadership Symposium. She also volunteered at our 2021 Career Week, where she conducted mock interviews via Zoom and gave students direct feedback and tips for success.
Thank you to State Farm, Jake and Danielle, for their support of Education Forward Arizona!
“At State Farm, we pride ourselves in helping create safer, stronger, and better educated communities.
