Ron Butler – Vice Chairman and Treasurer

Ron Butler is the former Managing Partner of the Phoenix office of Ernst & Young (now retired) with over 28 years of public accounting experience serving regional and global clients. Butler possesses a core competency in global coordination of Fortune 1000 company audits with global operations. Butler has significant experience assisting clients with complex US GAAP accounting and SEC reporting matters, including experience with internal controls and other regulatory requirements. Butler has played a key role in several merger and acquisition transactions of domestic and global companies from $500 million to $25 billion.
Butler was appointed Arizona Managing Partner in June 2008 by EY’s Americas Executive Board. Butler provides strategic guidance with the operation and management of the EY Arizona Practice. Butler was previously EY’s Pacific Southwest Strategic Growth Markets Leader from 2006 to 2008.
Butler is a Past Chairman of Arizona Community Foundation and Teach for America – Phoenix; Chairman for Downtown Phoenix Partnership and serves on the Executive Board of Directors of Expect More Arizona, Arizona Science Center, Barrow Neurological Foundation and Greater Phoenix Economic Council. He is also currently a member of the University of Arizona Eller College National Board of Advisors and W.P. Carey School of Business Dean’s Council.
Butler earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Arizona. He is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants.
