As the Local Market Executive for the Phoenix/Scottsdale market, Scott Vanderpool leads a team focused on driving Bank of America’s presence in the communities we serve throughout Maricopa County. This includes brand positioning through sponsorship opportunities as well as philanthropic work through the Bank of America Foundation.  In this foundation work, Vanderpool and his team focus on supporting Economic Mobility in Maricopa County and the impact this has on our population and the future of our economy. In addition, Vanderpool is tasked with operational excellence work for Bank of America, its eight lines of business and 9,000 employees who call the Phoenix/Scottsdale market home.  Prior to this role, Vanderpool was the Market Executive for Bank of America’s Business Bank in Colorado, leading a team of relationship managers focused on companies in the lower middle-market space throughout the state.  He has also worked on expanding the Bank’s industry focuses around Healthcare and Craft Brewing for Business Banking.

Vanderpool is a graduate of Arizona State University with a B.S. in Supply Chain Management and has a M.B.A. from the Anderson Graduate School of Management from the University of California at Riverside. He is also a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School, the graduate school of banking at the University of Washington – he is also currently a faculty member at Pacific Coast Banking School, teaching their capstone leadership course. Vanderpool has been with Bank of America for 13 years and resides in Phoenix.
