Vince Roig is the founding chairman of Helios Education Foundation. Before forming the foundation, Roig was chairman of the board and president and chief executive officer of Southwest Student Services Corporation and its affiliates for more than 20 years. Southwest was a full-service provider of student loan products and services to students, families and schools in Arizona, Florida and nationally.

In addition to his work as chairman of the board of College Success Arizona, Roig serves, or has served, on the boards of numerous Arizona-based and national organizations, including Greater Phoenix Leadership, Phoenix Art Museum, Phoenix Aviation Advisory Board, Stand for Children Arizona Advisory Committee, Stand for Children National, Take Stock in Children, Teach for America and Valley of the Sun United Way.

Roig received his Bachelor of Science degree in secondary education from Athens College and his Master of Science degree in secondary education from Richmond College of the City University of New York.
