Did COVID-19 impact your college plans?
Earn a scholarship of up to $6,000 to return or continue college.
Through the Helios Adelante Scholars Initiative – created in partnership with Helios Education Foundation – Aliento and Education Forward Arizona are working to re-engage young adults in pursuing higher education who were impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Adelante Scholars will be awarded an incentive scholarship of up to $6,000 and will be paired with a Success Adviser during your next year of college.
YOU ARE ELIGIBLE IF YOU ARE:
- An Arizona student eligible for in-state tuition
- Will be enrolled in an accredited community college or university in Arizona at least part-time in Fall 2023
- Completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Federal Student Aid Estimator (if undocumented)
AND YOU MEET ONE OF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
- Graduated from an Arizona high school in 2020 and had your educational journey impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Graduated from an Arizona high school in 2021 and had your educational journey impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Was enrolled in college during Spring 2020, Fall 2020, Spring 2021, or Fall 2021 and took at least one semester off or failed courses during one of those semesters (must show on transcripts).
Students will be awarded a one-time, non-renewable award of up to $6,000 that can used for tuition, books, or room and board.
